Homeschooling - Organic Learning From Life by Vineetha Sood

Learning is an integral part of life which happens at the fastest pace when the child is growing up. Education and parenting are the two processes through which the child learns tremendously to grow up to become his/her own self.

Over the years, these two processes have become very stressful for the parents, teachers, and the child. This has led many people to homeschool their children.

This presentation/conversation is focused on understanding homeschooling. Keeping the child and its learning at the center.

Vineetha.png

About the presenter.

Vineeta has been an educator, who has homeschooled her own children in nineties and early 2000. She supports many homeschooling families in India and abroad. For close to 25 years now, she has also been involved in designing learning spaces and curricula that support the child in self-directed learning. Presently she is a certified therapist. She is an associate with Anna Chandy and Associates.

Vineeta is convinced that learning is such an integral part of being human and it happens in its best form when we honour the inherent intelligence of life. Our children come to us with certain samskaras. What they learn and who they grow up to become through the process of parenting and educating them depends on how we honour what they bring. Our capacity to honour the essence of our children depends on how much of our own essence we honour in ourselves. How ready we are to face the challenge to our own conditioning. And in that sense, it really comes full circle. It is a process of us growing up all over again, as we relate to our children and create a space for them to become their own person.

This conversation is an exploration of how these dynamics impact our own children through the way we live our life, the way we parent and educate them and what that brings up for us.

Integrating Design Process Into Everyday Life by Aditya Raja

Website-01.png

Design is a fundamental concept that can be found everywhere. It is because of this, that perceiving it has become so passive and intuitive. Once the nature of Design becomes clear, it helps develop the eye to see beyond the surface, uncover the truth and recognize evolution in the most commonly used things that surround us. The presentation intends to introduce the concept of Design and the Design Process to a general audience.

By understanding Design and the Design Process, it becomes a portal to understand ourselves at a much more granular level and makes it easier to integrate the meaning of things around us and assess how they align with our values.  By enabling us in this way, it creates a sense of power to be very intentional with the choices available to us in every moment and can be used as a tool to become more aware.

Mandalas - Framework to understand an Action from different perspectives

Website-01.png

Every action is the result of a conglomeration of several energies coming together at a given moment. From the union of these energies emerges an expression - which is the action.

This is an exploration of this expression using Mandalas. Through this exploration we will get a peek into the interactions of energies and understand the significance of each of them in every action. A clarity about the profoundness of an action emerges.

Poetry: Mandala of Self development

Divya Loves going on adventures and exploring new things and places.

Her newest exploration has been towards finding a rhythm in my sadhana practice every day using journaling and meditation.

Right now in her journey, She sees Mandala as a depiction of clarity and order. The unlimited potential of a Mandala to expand and grow infinitely while holding the same power all the way down at the center, in the Bindu, is what fascinates her most about them.

Mandala - The Flow of Form

The dance presentation stages the way a dancer creates her as a mandala of lines and shapes and at the same time, she presents the role of nature in the Brindavan and how Krishna mesmerises people with his flute music, and how the name "Krsna" would let us connect to the supreme and let go of all desires and fears.

Kanishkaa Senthilnathan is a Bharatanatyam dancer trained for 10 years who is currently pursuing dance/movement therapy. She currently is in pursuit of diving deeper into what is on her exploration list with inculcating consistency in her journey.

About Kanishkaa's role as a dancer, she always strives to connect to the intricate details of the piece she wants to perform and brings in a little bit of her STYLE in the creation that is learned. Dance helps her hold the essence of every lesson she learns by being absorbed in the present.
